Surveillance Programs Overview

Surveillance programs consist of both primary and secondary intelligence initiatives that vary in length, depth and scale.

Experience and Expertise

We complete an average of 70+ short- and long-term primary and secondary surveillance programs annually. Programs target a cross-section of issues, ranging from novel biologics and biosimilars to medical devices.

With over 30 years of experience, our teams have extensive knowledge and experience in investigating all product sectors and therapeutic categories. Core areas of investigative focus include commercialization, lifecycle management, manufacturing, pre-clinical and clinical R&D, regulatory assessments and strategies/tactics.

Experience
Primary vs. Secondary?

Primary intelligence is the driving force of programs, and provides the majority of findings developed to support investigations. Primary intelligence assists our teams in developing answers to key investigative questions, assessing/analyzing the qualitative intelligence developed and testing conclusions with key sources while also refining investigative insights. Comprehensive assessment and strategic implications to the product and/or brand portfolio is the result of primary intelligence.

Secondary intelligence is the knowledge our teams gain on the investigation through public information or our non-proprietary databases. Secondary data sources assist our teams in engaging in gap analysis, in which the gaps become the focus of the primary research effort.
